About Cottage By The Sea

I am an American Irish, Irish American woman living and loving the heritage of both as you will see when you read my posts. This little blog started out as an update for friends and family to be able to follow the progress of destruction, and the reconstruction and ongoing projects of our little cottage by the sea. When construction gets slow, as construction projects tend to do, I share the family shenanigans of this cast of characters which make up my daily life. I keep it fun and light and fill it with my original photographs, many that will share the beauty of Southern California beaches with you. Oh, and sarcasm is a given, me being me, and there's a dose of silly and perhaps a wee bit of blarney and padwackery thrown in for good measure! Leave a comment if you come by, the comment box is way down at the bottom after the most recent post. I would love to meet you and visit your blog too. You are welcome here!

Vintage Giveaway hookup anybody?

Today Jennifer over at the design blog Vintage Inspiration Keswick & Country is having an awesome giveaway.  I usually don't find anything that floats my boat in giveaways - except when the SITS girls were giving away that cool camera.  (I still think something went wrong there.)  I was sure that camera was mine.  No special reason, just because I wanted it so bad!

Anyhoo, I love cottage decor  since I'm in the process of decorating my cottage and all, and Jennifer's blog is that to the hilt.  Beautiful photos and genuine french decor are included in her giveaway to celebrate our friend Maria, over at her awesome blog, Dreamy Whites who has opened an amazing Etsy shop.  If you haven't met Maria or perused her fantastic blog, now is your chance.  Perhaps you can find some inspiration to start some of those projects you've been putting off, or just go buy some beautiful merchandise to make you feel better about the winter doldrums.

I love you so much I'm telling you all about Jennifer's giveaway.  But secretly I hope I win all the lovely things for myself.  Guilty?  Not even a little.  But if you didn't know about the two great blogs above now ya do and isn't that a gift in itself?

Blessings from Sunny California.  80 degrees and sunny here all weekend.  No winter doldrums and no guilt.  Just praising God for this amazing weather and that I'm lucky enough to be walking on the beach today.  But you know I love ya and I wish you were here!

Blessings,

Tia
